Childhood & Relatives
My grandmother was a great Ichiyo School ikebana artist for over 70 years. Following her footsteps and heart from when I was little. She raised many disciples in Philippines. Also, my grandfather often traveled Japan and Philippines for his trading business, so I feel deeply connected with this beautiful country. My mother is also philipina. Rather than imposing Japanese traditional arts to other countries, my aim is to balance Japanese arts with others by respecting their unique cultures, traditions and aesthetics. I believe that this mindset will bring a new style and idea to head for the next generation.
